Olivia Mitchell

Olivia Mitchell was born on July 31st 1947. She is an Irish Fine Gael politician. She is a Teachta Dála for Dublin South and is currently the Fine Gael spokesperson for Irish Minister for Transport. Olivia Mitchell was born in Birr,County Offaly. She was educated locally and at Trinity College Dublin where she qualified with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Politics. Olivia Mitchell has been a TD in Dublin South for eight years. She has held the Fine Gael Front Bench portfolio on both Environment & Local Government (2001) and Health (2002 - 2004) and is currently Transport Spokesperson. Having lived in Rathfarnham and Dundrum for over 30 years and worked as a teacher of economics in Mount Anville and St. Tiernan's she has seen the rapid changes in the area brought about by the transformation of the economy.
