[edit] Your Featured Picture nomination
Hi. I noticed you attempted to submit an image for Featured Pictures. You didn't appear to follow the instructions correctly and therefore it did not create the pages required for it, so I've had to remove it from the page. Please read the instructions again and follow them exactly so that your submission can be completed. However, I must be honest and tell you that the image you were submitting was not, in my opinion, good enough to be promoted as a featured picture. Please consider this if you wish to re-submit. [edit] Pictures from Porto
Hi there! I was going to nominate your Panorama of Porto picture to featured status when I noticed you had already done it. Do you have more? Nice picture! Are you Portuguese? Do you live here? Cheers! Afonso Silva 21:25, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
Hi Afonso! I am Russian. I live now in Porto. Thank you for your appreciation. I have more pictures of Porto but they are not very encyclopedic. I am going to add one picture of Vila Nova de Gaia to Wikipedia, but its quality is lower than that of the picture of Porto.

Congratulations, and thanks for nominating it. Raven4x4x 09:18, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Larch
Hi Olegivvit - I actually removed it because I don't think it is a very good picture! It is not as clear or useful as some of the detailed close-up photos; in particular, the colours are rather unrealistic (presumably a reproduction problem). It also gave the page a very 'ninteenth century' look. I could perhaps put it in a gallery section on the page. - MPF 10:44, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Featured Picture edit
An image you edited, Image:Warsaw Ghetto Josef Bloesche-edit1.jpg, has just become a featured picture! Congratulations. Raven4x4x 07:44, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Puff-ball mushroom.jpg
The image that I removed was not a gem-studded puffball. For one, they were round with no "stem-like" base. For another, they had leathery-looking, rough skin instead of the white, gem-studded surface characteristic of Lycoperdon perlatum. It's a fine image of puffballs, but it's not L. perlatum. -Harmil 14:35, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
