Old Trail Drive

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Old Trail Drive is a street in Reston, Virginia, a census-designated place in the United States of America. Old Trail is one of the early neighborhoods to be built as part of Reston, which is a planned city designed by Robert E. Simon.

The street is shaped somewhat like a horseshoe, with both ends intersecting Glade Drive. Branching off of Old Trail are Embers Court, Red Leaf Court, Shadbush Court and, off of Shadbush, White Tail Court. There are a total of 135 houses in the neighborhood.

The neighborhood sits next to the Glade Rec Area, which has a pool (featuring a wading pool, hot tub, and two-story high waterslide), a basketball court, a playground and four artificial-clay tennis courts. In the center of the horseshoe is the Old Trail Tot Lot. Both the Rec Area and the Tot Lot are maintained by the Reston Association, a homeowner's association that takes the place of a city council.
