Samuel Adams, also known as Old Samuel Adams or Deacon Adams, was the father of American patriot and future governor of Massachusetts, Samuel Adams.

He was born on May 6, 1689 in Boston, Massachusetts to Captain Joseph Adams. He was a deacon and maltster who married Mary Fifield on April 21, 1713 in Boston. Their only surviving child was Samuel Adams.

Old Samuel Adams died on March 8, 1747 in Boston.
