Old History of the Five Dynasties

The Old History of the Five Dynasties (Traditional Chinese: 舊五代史; pinyin Jìu Wǔdài Shǐ), originally known as the History of the Five Dynasties (五代史), was a history of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period of Chinese history. It was written by the Song Dynasty official Xue Juzheng (薛居正), and completed in 974. It is one of the official Twenty-Four Histories of China. It became known as the Old History after the New History of the Five Dynasties was written by Ouyang Xiu.
