Old Age Outlaws

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Old Age Outlaws were a short-lived professional wrestling stable in World Championship Wrestling.

[edit] History

The Old Age Outlaws were formed in January 2000 in WCW by four retired wrestlers, hence the name. They were Terry Funk, who was named WCW Commissioner, Arn Anderson, his enforcer, Larry Zbyszko and Paul Orndorff. They were there to keep the current nWo faction of Kevin Nash, Jeff Jarrett, Bret Hart and Scott Steiner in line but they never wrestled them due to the fact that they were retired.

The Old Age Outlaws were disbanded by February due to the fact that they didn't wrestle anymore (besides Funk), the fans chanted "We want Flair" everywhere they went (Flair was having problems with ownership again) and the fact that the gimmick did not get over.

The highlight of the Outlaws was them washing foul-mouthed Scott Steiner's mouth out with soap in the locker room while the rest of the nWo was distracted.

The stable's name was a play on the name of the WWF tag team New Age Outlaws.
