Wooden and leather cross-country ski poles circa 1950.

Taken by Elf | Talk 21:38, 27 Oct 2004 (UTC) Oct 27 '04. One is wrapped in black tape because the wood had started to split. These poles were well used in the Adirondacks and are now in retirement in California.
