Olaus Borrichius

Olaus Borrichius (16261690) was a Danish chemist and alchemist, famed in his time. Isaac Newton and Christina of Sweden were among the people influenced by his alchemical ideas.

He extracted oxygen out of saltpeter in 1678, but he replaced it some time later.
