Olathe South High School is the second oldest high school in Olathe, Kansas that is still running. Started in 1981, Olathe South has expanded over the years to become a 6A school.
Olathe South features a special program called Professional Careers Academy, or PCA. The PCA teaches students leadership skills and ethics and the program also prepares students for life after high school. [1] The PCA also brings in guest speakers in a program called the "PCA Lecture Series". This has brought in such speakers as ethics professor Dr. Marianne Jennings and local judge Janice Russell. [2]
The Olathe School District is investigating whether the High Schools can add Freshmen to the campus instead of the Junior High.
