Ol' Blue Nose/Stupid Sidekick Union
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ol' Blue Nose (written by Ron Hauge, Bob Camp & Billy West; storyboard by Mark O'Hare; B.G. color design by Scott Wills; directed by Steve Loter): Stimpy suddenly becomes a great singer, and therefore famous. Eventually, Stimpy finds out what makes him sing well - his nose. His nose is fed up with Stimpy taking all the credit for his voice and so leaves Stimpy for a career of his own.
Stupid Sidekick Union (written by Bob Camp & Jim Gomez; storyboard by Tom McGrath; background color design by Scott Wills; directed by Tom McGrath): The Sidekick Union has a strike, meaning Stimpy refuses to work until Ren treats him with respect. As Ren does not want to do this, he has auditions for new sidekicks - with all the applicants doing exactly the opposite of what Ren wants.
Trivia:
- On the 'Season Five and some more of four' dvd, go to the commentary menu on disc 2. If you press up it should highlight the 'commentaries' heading. Press select and it should take you to a hidden character commentary by Ren, Stimpy and george Liquor on the first half of 'Stupid Sidekick Union'
- Stimpy's professional singing name is "Frank Snotra", an obvious send-up to singer Frank Sinatra, as well as the episode lampooning a few of his hits ("Come fly with me/Let's fly, let's fly away" becomes "Come fry with me/Let's fry, let's fry an egg."
