[edit] Differences
- The characters Onpu and Poppu feature much more predominantly in Ojamajo Doremi # than they did in the original series.
- Flowers are an important theme to this series.
- Transformations (Henshin) sequences are different and require tapping the body parts in a miniature dance.

[edit] Story
In this series, Doremi and her friends help to raise Hana-chan, who was born after 100 years from a rose in the witch kingdom's royal garden and is heir to the throne of Majokai - witch's land.
Hana-chan is often a target of kidnappers from the wizard's land (Oyaji and the Flat 4) because of her enormous underlying power. However, she is protected and raised by Doremi and her friends which they do for one full year. In the end, the witches and wizards are reconciled, and Hana-chan is no longer in danger.
[edit] Flowers
While the prolonged theme for the first series was music, Ojamajo Doremi # also incorporates flowers as a key theme.
- The opening sequence features the girls in their transformed state riding their brooms to make a heart shape which then sprouts a flower.
- Hana, the future Queen of the Witch World is born from a flower.
- The girls work in their flower store.
- The Ojamajo Doremi # Movie's plot is focused on the wish-granting flower that Poppu uses.
- The henshin device looks like a flower.
- After transformations, flowers can be seen in the background.
- The new character, Hana, has a name that means "Flower", because "Hana" is Japanese for "Flower".
- When they do a group transformation, one person is shown doing that part of the sequence, and then the other girls appear doing the same thing in flowers that float across the screen.
- When the animation that shows the episode's title appears, the episode's title comes out of a flower.
- After the girls say "Magical Stage", a rose appears.
- Before the girls change into their Royal Patraine outfits, they are hidden in a flower bud of their respective color.
