From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Oil Creek State Park is a state park located near Titusville, Pennsylvania, the town where Colonal Edwin Drake found oil in 1859. Oil Creek, the main attraction of the park, was named after that famous event.
The park offers picknicing, canoeing, fishing, backpacking, cross-country skiing, and bicycling (paved 9.4 mile rail-to-trail). A diesel tourist train runs through the park from Oil City, Pennsylvania to Titusville, Pennsylvania with stops throughout the park.
