The image doesnt't include the UAE (a country at the north of Saudi Arabia), which produces about 2,500,000 bpd and exports about 50%, that is 1,200,000 barrel.

  • It is one of many gray countries (missing information), map should be updated with available info. I also doubt the US exports 1-2 million bbl/day as indicated. BTW the UAE is east of Saudi Arabia. - Eagle(talk) 11:08, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
UAE has been added. The CIA factbook says the US exports 1,048,000 bbl/day, however this is not much compared to how much they import - 13,150,000 bbl/day [1], giving net imports of about 12 million a day --Astrokey44 08:33, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] US Exports

I don't know what the basis in the CIA factbook is for the US export figure of 1.048 million b/d - perhaps it includes exported products, though that seems very high even including products. In fact the US only exports about 20,000 barrels per day of crude, all of it to Canada, where it is probably refined and likely returned to the US as gasoline. This map is extremely misleading to imply that US, Canada, and Mexico are in the same league when it comes to oil exports. Geologyguy 21:50, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
