Oiartzun

Oiartzun is a town located in the province of Guipuscoa, in the autonomous community of Basque Country, in the North of Spain.
The name Oiasso or Oiarso is known since Roman times. It was an importan town and dedicated to mining and mariner activities.
Alfonso VIII of Castile chartered it as town but it took some decades before its independence from Errenteria was total.
