State Route 86 is a northwest-southeast highway in northeastern Ohio. Its western terminus is at US 20 in the city of Painesville; the route then runs just west of the Grand River before crossing over Interstate 90 without an interchange. The route then passes through eastern Geauga County, and then enters Ashtabula County. The route is duplexed with State Route 534 for its final mile before meeting its eastern terminus in the village of Windsor at U.S. Route 322; State Route 534 continues south here.
