State Route 682 is a north-south state highway in the southern portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. Its southern terminus is at a trumpet interchange with the U.S. Route 33, U.S. Route 50, and State Route 32 multiplex in Athens, and its northern terminus is at State Route 13 in the village of Chauncey, Ohio. The route itself serves as western bypass for the city of Athens, and passes near Ohio University.

- 1938 – Original route certified; originally routed from 2 miles west of Athens to 1 mile north of The Plains[2].
- 1961 – Extended to Chauncey along a previously unnumbered road from 1 mile north of The Plains to 1 mile south of Chauncey, and the former alignment of U.S. Route 33 (which was the former alignment of State Route 21 from 1924[3] to 1926 and a former alignment of State Route 31 from 1926 to 1938) from 1 mile south of Chauncey to Chauncey[2].
- 1968 – Extended to Athens along a previously unnumbered road[2].
