[edit] History

  • 1938 – Original route certified; originally routed along the current U.S. Route 50 alignment from 2 miles west of Belpre to Belpre[2].
  • 1966 – Rerouted to its current alignment on the former U.S. Route 50/State Route 7 alignment (which was solely State Route 7 before 1926, and was then cosigned with U.S. Route 50S from 1926 to 1934); the original State Route 618 alignment was then signed as U.S. Route 50/State Route 7[2].
