Ogna

Ogna is a village in the municipality of Hå, Norway. Its population (2005) is 330. In the village there is a little church dating back to the Middle Ages. After a fire the church was restored and added to and is now a beautiful church. It is often open in the summer for visitors. Ogna has beautiful sand beaches and also a river where salmon fishing is very popular. Highway 44 which here also is a famous tourist route named "The North Sea road" is going right through the village and passes the church.
Between 1838 and 1964 Ogna was also the name of a municipality consisting of the area around Sirevåg, Ogna and Brusand. In 1964 the municipality was merged with Varhaug and Nærbø to form the new municipality which was named Hå.
