Oga, Akita

Oga (男鹿市; -shi) is a city located in Akita, Japan and occupies the Oga Peninsula.

The city was founded on March 31, 1954.

In 2003, the city had an estimated population of 29,377 and the density of 148.34 persons per km². The total area was 198.04 km².

On March 22, 2005, the town of Wakami merged into the city, increasing its population to 38,130 and its area to 240.80 km²
