Oddisee
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Amir Mohamed (better known as Oddisee) is a Sudanese-American rapper, and producer based in Washington D.C. He is a part of the Low Budget collective, which also includes Kev Brown, and Roddy Rod of Maspyke.
Oddisee got his break in 2002, after appearing on Jazzy Jeff's The Magnificent LP, as both a producer and a performer, on the track "Music Lounge". He followed this up by producing for a number of underground artists throughout 2003, and the majority of the songs on the Halftooth Records compilation, You Don't Know The Half, in 2004. He has also worked with the likes of Talib Kweli, Wordsworth, and Little Brother.
Oddisee is one of the first artists to be signed to Halftooth Records and recently released a mixtape-album called Foot In The Door, which includes all new material.
