OD Practitioner Network

The Organization Development Practitioner network also known as OD network, sees organizational development as a field central to creating effective and humanistically sound systems in the global business, governmental and non-profit community. The Network sees itself as an organization of professionals dedicated to being a leading force in the advancement of the theory and practice of organization development by:
- Helping to formulate and promote the values, purposes and benefits of organization development
- Promoting organization development principles, tools and best practices in an ethical and effective manner
- Supporting practitioners in their organizational development efforts around the world by providing them with learning and professional development opportunities
- Providing a forum for OD practitioners, researchers and educators where they can share meaningful ideas and create dialogue on critical issues affecting the human element in corporations.
- Sharing leadership and partnering with others to achieve the network's vision

The OD Network has a number of stated values which include:
- Contributing to the benefit and well-being of the planet and all people.
- Contributing in organizations and communities to the formulation of policies, principles and practices that foster equity
- Fostering the appreciation of interconnectedness at all levels in organizations, which in turns fosters the inclusion of a greater diversity of people, ideas and cultures.
- Facilitating and fostering ongoing improvement and innovation in organizations of all kinds.
- Surfacing innovative participation-driven approaches to organizational change and management driven by a respect for the dignity, contribution and worth of all stakeholders.
- Helping develop significant collaborations and partnerships between organizations and their clients
- Fostering greater cooperation and support between peers and across organizational levels in
- Encouraging and supporting lifelong personal and professional development
- Fostering personal discovery particularly among OD practitioners and helping them enhance their impact in the consulting process.
The OD Network has chapters in 27 states in the USA and in 11 countries around the world ad holds annual conferences. The Network publishes a number of respected professional publications, including; "OD Practitioner," "Practicing," "Network Magazine,", and Senior OD Practitioner."
