Objective, Burma!
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Objective, Burma! is a 1945 movie about a group of commandos in the China Burma India Theater of World War II. Errol Flynn plays the leader of a detachment of United States Army soldiers who parachute into Burma to destroy a Japanese radar station and then have to fight their way back to friendly territory through an enemy occupied jungle. Often remembered for originating the famous quote "Come in, Rangoon...Come in, Rangoon!!!"
Though nominated for three Academy Awards in 1945 the film was withdrawn from release in the United Kingdom after protests stemming from the Americanization of what had been a mainly British and Australian conflict.
