O2 Optix, also known as Air Optix in the United Kingdom, is a brand of breathable contact lenses made by CIBA Vision. They are disposable soft contact lenses that are made from silicone hydrogel. In the United States, the lenses are approved for two weeks wear, but in Europe, the lenses are approved for monthly wear. O2 Optix lenses transmit up to five times more oxygen than HEMA-based soft contact lenses. O2 Optix lenses have been FDA approved for extended wear of up to six consecutive nights.
