NXT SoundpaX is a loudspeaker brand made by electronics company NXT. The speaker itself is flat, made from cardboard, with a small device called exciter producing the sound, and come in variety of sizes ranging from 14 to 26 inches. SoundpaX speakers are intended to be portable and can be folded. The entire surface can be painted to fit in its environment.
SoundpaX is currently manufactured, under license from NXT, by Soundscape in Korea, Qualitec, ltd. in China, Sonic Impact in the USA and AMCOR in Australia.
Sound quality is comparable to traditional speakers although anecdotal evidence suggests low frequencies cannot be reproduced correctly.
