NWA Scottish Heavyweight Championship
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The NWA Scottish Heavyweight Championship was commissioned by the National Wrestling Alliance on behalf of NWA-UK's Andre Baker. Finding it's home in the Scottish Wrestling Alliance, it was given a controversial birth when Conscience became the first champion with the help of his newly formed Sinners.
[edit] Former title holders
- 'The Paisly Wrecking Machine' Adam Shame
- November 25 2006-current
- In a brutal I Quit Match, a bloodied Adam Shame forced Eric Canyon to say I quit. After the match, the whole SWA locker room came out to celebrate. The fans did their bit by chanting 'Shamo...Shamo!'. It was truly an emotional night.
- Majik
- August 20 2005-August 20 2005
- Having a short reign, Majik defeated Eric Canyon by reversing the Sliced Bread #2 into a Spellbinder. GC Mac then added Majik into the Battlezone, a thirty man rumble within a steel cage, and announced the title was live! With interference from a returning angry Conscience, Majik was eliminated from the match.
- Eric 'The Fist' Canyon
- April 2 2005-August 20 2005
- Not willing to be handed the title when Conscience fell to injury, Canyon declared that he wanted a fight for the title and Draevyn delivered him the new leader of the Sinners; Majik. The two fought in a steel cage, a match advertised against Conscience, but Eric won with a Senton form the top of the cage. He successfully defended against William Grange and Andy Hogg, however lost the title to Majik on SWA's first anniversary show.
- 'The Last True Phenom' Conscience
- July 17 2004-April 2 2005
- Conscience aligned himself with Adam Shame and Hatred at the first SWA show to form the Sinners, a sadistic group led by him. While he was champion he defended the title across the UK, winning the 3CW Heavyweight title to go alongside the Scottish belt, and even took the belt across the waters to defend it in Canada. At Last Rites Conscience had to drop the title due to injury, which led to the Sinners symbolically sacrificing him
- Eric 'The Fist' Canyon (2)
- April 2 2005-current
- Entering Battlezone as the last entrant when Majik was forced to defend the Scottish title within the 30 man cage rumble, Canyon was beaten down harshly by the Sinners but was saved by a returning Conscience. With Majik KO'd and the Sinners chased away, Conscience draped Canyons broken body over Majik allowing him to get his belt back.
