[edit] Images and copyrights
Thank you for including more detailed source information for the images you uploaded. But, I think my larger point did not get across. You can't grab images from websites and claim that there is no copyright, which is what you've been doing when you say "no rights reserved". Almost all images on the Web are copyrighted, especially high-quality professional photos like the ones on the ESPN web sites. Copyright issues are very important to Wikipedia, both legally and morally. Wikipedia is a very popular website, and we could be sued for re-using other people's photos. Please stop copying photos from other websites into Wikipedia. FreplySpang (talk) 14:59, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] More copyright problems
For your information, I have tagged a number of the ESPN announcers articles you previously created as copyright problems. It seems that you copied and pasted large amounts of content from their bio pages posted on ESPN.com's web site.
Because of these problems, and the problems mentioned by the messages you received above, I must warn you that your account may be in danger of being blocked for repeatedly inserting copyright infringement into Wikipedia. See Wikipedia:Blocking policy#Copyright infringement and plagiarism for futher information. Thank you. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 01:24, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your note on User talk:Zzyzx11
Hi, Number24165. Zzyzx11 is busy, so he asked me to answer your question. Thanks for letting us know about the situation with your little brother - that explains a lot! It was nice that he wanted to make Wikipedia better, even though he didn't go about it quite right. It would probably be more convenient for you to create a new account, so that your talk page isn't clogged with (even more) messages about copyright violations. And creating a new account is just as easy as creating this account was. But, it's totally up to you. Not a big deal either way, now that you've explained the problem. Thanks again! FreplySpang (talk) 14:50, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
No problem. FYI, old accounts don't get deleted. Good luck with your new account! FreplySpang (talk) 22:38, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Sportscenter1.jpg)
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Sportscenter1.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 22:35, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Joemorgan.jpg listed for deletion
An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Joemorgan.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in its not being deleted. Thank you. -- Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 02:40, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Coldpizza.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:Coldpizza.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Thank you. Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 02:41, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
