[edit] Cartoon Network animated series
- The virtual reality world in Mission: Virtually Impossible, Delightfalia, is a parody of Lyoko from the French animated series Code: LYOKO, which is broadcast on Cartoon Network. The entire Code: DELIGHTFALIA series is a direct parody of Code: LYOKO right down to the title (including the name of the world being in all-caps). In that series, the Little Traitor Dudes for Children's Defense wear outfits reminiscent of those worn by Team Lyoko (although one of the Traitor Dude girls' outfits resembles Sissi's typical school outfit). The Sector V team's outfits exactly match those worn by Odd, Ulrich, and Yumi, and the operatives wield identical weapons.
- In Operation: S.U.P.E.R.H.E.R.O., Ultimor is a parody of Slade from the Cartoon Network animated series Teen Titans. His three minions are respective parodies of Cinderblock, Plasmus, and Overload; the three monsters also have identical powers to their Titans counterparts (although Shockwave does pound the ground to make shockwaves instead of shooting electricity like Overload).

- DC Comics
- The characters Kid the Great and Ultimor are a parody of the stereotypical superhero and supervillain, respectively. Kid the Great is dressed in what could be thought of as the "standard superhero garb", a red cape with a Superman-style emblem on the chest.
- Marvel Comics
- Ultimor has the stereotypical "evil laugh" used by several comic book villains, as well as powers similar to those of familiar comic book supervillains (e.g. magnetokinesis like Magneto and super-strength (common among supervillains in both Marvel and DC Comics.
[edit] Mission: Impossible and Men in Black
- The title of the first Codename: Kids Next Door fanfic, "Mission: Virtually Impossible", is a play on the title of the Mission: Impossible television series.
- Also in that fanfic, the Delightfuls' holographic counterparts all wear dark suits (Lenny wears a black mask to replace his helmet), like the agents in the Men in Black series. The Delightful hologram also vanishes similar to the holograms seen in the M.I.B. movies.
- The interior of the Destructively Nefarious Kids' Moonbase, first seen in Op. NEGA-PORTAL, is a spoof on the M.I.B.'s main base of operations in the Men in Black animated series. Some of the computers and technology the DNK use are even identical in appearance to those used by the Men in Black.

- The fanfic, Operation: L.I.T.T.L.E. parodies this cult Disney movie, with a few differences. Ex: instead of the KND shrinking themselves, like the kids did in that movie, the DCFDTL shrink them; also, the "villain" Spideracus Devinicus is exclusive to the Op. L.I.T.T.L.E. fanfic and has no equivalent in the movie.

- Many fanfics featuring President Jimmy and Anna feature Star Wars references due to these two villains having starred in a Star Wars reference-centric episode, Operation: S.N.O.W.I.N.G.
- In Op. NEGA-PORTAL, Jimmy's mind control power (given him by the Nega-Portal) is reminiscent of the Jedi mind trick as used by Obi-Wan "Ben" Kenobi in A New Hope. Anna's Nega-Portal-granted power is also similar to the telekinetic power of the Force as seen in multiple Star Wars movies.
- Also in NEGA-PORTAL, after Anna busts her and Jimmy out of Arctic Prison, Jimmy quotes Han Solo in Return of the Jedi, telling Anna that he loves her. Anna replies with Princess Leia's quote from the same movie, saying she already knows he does.

- Each operative/villain in the Operation: O.D.Y.S.S.E.Y. mini-series parodies a certain god, goddess, hero, or monster from The Odyssey.
- Numbuh One parodies Zeus
- Numbuh Two parodies Odysseus
- Numbuh Three parodies Hermes (who is really a boy, but Numbuh 3 claims not to know that)
- Numbuh Four parodies Hephaestus (though he has a minor role)
- Numbuh Five parodies Odysseus' wife Penelope.
- Numbuh 86 parodies the goddess Athena.
- Sonya (as Sonyadite) parodies Aphrodite (not seen, but Numbuh 3 does mention her as the goddess from whom she got the Rainbow Monkey)
- Big Brother as REALLY Big Brother parodies the Cyclops Polyphemus.
- PTOOEY parodies Poseidon (as Poseidon's Terrible Organic Organization of Eradicating Youngsters, with the Principal as Poseidon).
- Cree parodies Circe the witch.
- Claiborne parodies Calypso.
- The Rainbow Monkey Cult and the Queen Tie parody the minor monsters, the Sirens and Scylla the sea-monster.
- The Delightful Children from Down the Lane, President Jimmy, and Jimmy's minions the Hall Monitors all parody the suitors who try to force Penelope to marry one of them (the Delightful Suitors play the part of Antinous, the head suitor).
