[edit] NPOV

Much of this article appears to be very NPOV oriented. Certain sections are noted as follows:

Over the years, the NZ community has developed in a sort of a sub-culture, with it's own language, history and meetings.

...

Some NukeZone players who had disputes with the crew have made what are more or less clones of the game. These have generally been composed of members from the NukeZone community. The first was Covasion (2003), later DefCon5 (2003), Warrior Adventures (2004) and Federation Wars (2004). None of these games has reached the same popularity as NukeZone. The last rounds, NZ has had some criticism about 'fading interest from the Moderators and Guffy.' However, in round 17 and 18 there were some big changes made ( e.g. The Headquarters building ), which positively suprised a large amount of NZ players.

Disputes can be documented however nothing is noted about what type of Sub-culture has developed, what new language has evolved or any of it's history. Surprise of players is a pretty clearly one sided statement as most people cannot view each other through monitors :) A reaction or "outburst" of some type might be more appropriate here. Also, documentation on the criticism it recieved would be well worth inserting. -Moocats 18:20, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

I made some edits and I think I cleaned it up. If there's no objection to it, I think it would be fair to remove the NPOV flag. 71.4.161.2 16:10, 10 February 2006 (UTC)

Okay, there was no argument so I removed it. If it needs to come back, please post the reasons and we'll address them.24.193.76.228

[edit] Popularity

I don't think the 40,000 users figure is very accurate. I know it says 40,000 on the nukezone.nu front page, but i still have my doubts. I do believe NZ reached something like that a couple of years ago but its popularity has been declining since then. I'm not aware of any reliable way to find the actual number of players, but if you die and check your networth rank before you build anything you should get some idea. I don't think the admins would tell either. Vlot 06:48, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Popularity

No; indeed the real number of players these days is probably closer to 25k, But that doesnt mean the game isnt worth playing in my humble opinion.

Yeah, but shouldn't the article be corrected? Vlot 10:02, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AfD

Removed AfD, inserted a few links that should pronounce the notability more clearly. In addition, the game was also initially sponsored by Electronic Arts, although I don't have any online documentation of that, other than the notice on the web archived version of the early rounds of the game.

[edit] Community Level

I believe at least 2 more have reached lv. 4 now, from what I've seen on the forums.
