Nuclear power in Bulgaria
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In Bulgaria, the Kozloduy NPP operates six pressurized water reactors with a total output of 3760 MW-electricity at the present. Four are old VVER-440 V230 reactors, are considered dangerous, and under a 1993 agreement between the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Bulgarian Government had to be closed by the end of 1998. Units 5 and 6 are newer VVER-1000 reactors.
