Nuclear hazard

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nuclear, biological, and chemical (NBC) hazards are becoming a growing concern.

[edit] Dirty bombs

One possible terrorist scenario involves a "dirty bomb" in which a terrorist uses nuclear materials together with a conventional explosive to disperse the nuclear hazard.

[edit] Mitigation of nuclear hazards

Nuclear spills, or suspected exposures, are dealt with by decontaminating exposed or potentially exposed persons.

When the spill is severe, mass decontamination may be required.
