Nuclear dimorphism

Nuclear dimorphism is a term referred to the special characteristic of having two different kind of nucleus in a cell. This feature is only observed in protozoa ciliates. Ciliates contain two nucleus type, a macronucleus that is basically used to control metabolism, and a micronucleus which have the reproductive functions and is used to generate the macronucleus.
