[edit] V600

Right now this article is a spec sheet for a product: It doesn't even say what product it is (you have to guess) or who makes it! I almost speedy-deleted it, but thought I'd make this comment first.

Wikipedia doesn't need a separate article for every mobile phone , PDA, laptop, pager, etc., made by every company in the world - so please don't try to turn this into a "real" article, unless the V600 is some earth-shaking sea change in the industry (e.g., an article on the original Macintosh is great, but not one on every Dell computer!).

Since this is obviously an area of your expertise, how about looking into existing articles about telecommunications and finding those that need improving. I'll bet there are technical descriptions, or corporate descriptions, or historical synopses which are missing, stunted or just wrong that you could fix. We need deeper articles as much as more articles! May I suggest you try that for a few weeks to get a feel for wikipedia before creating new articles ... I'll bet you'll even find some unnecessary articles on telecom products that should be deleted! - DavidWBrooks 01:54, 2 Sep 2004 (UTC)

"This phone is about one out of about 7 cellular phones that work on all four GSM bands" - that's the sort of detail which makes the difference, especially if you can say why working on all four GSM bands is important, or why other phones don't do it, etc. - DavidWBrooks 00:48, 3 Sep 2004 (UTC)
