Noyes, Minnesota

Noyes, Minnesota is an unincorporated place in St._Vincent_Township,_Minnesota. It is in the extreme northwestern corner of Minnesota. It has a history as an important border-crossing site. Here U.S. 75 and two rail lines (BNSF and Soo Lines) enter Canada. However, U.S. 75 became much less important as I-29 was developed on the North Dakota side. The Canadians closed their customs house opposite Noyes (see Emerson, Manitoba in 1999, and this elminiated most of the remaining traffic through Noyes. The duty free store there had already closed. Noyes is close to being a ghost town.
