Nova Veneza is a small town and municipality in central Goiás state, Brazil.

Nova Veneza is located between Goiânia and Anápolis.

In January 2005 the Mayor was Luiz Antônio Stival Milhomens. There were 9 city-council members and 5,762 eligible voters.

In 2005 the population density was 59.15 inhab/km². In 2003 there were 5,946 inhabitants in the urban area and 903 in the rural area. The population has increased by about 2,100 since 1980.

In 2005 there were 24 industrial units and 45 retail units in the town. There was one financial institution: Banco Itaú S.A. In 2003 most people were employed in commerce--278 workers--and public administration--275 workers. In 2004 there were 495 automobiles registered in the town. The poultry industry was quite developed.

In 2004 there were 14,870 head of cattle, 605,048 head of poultry, and 3,956 head of swine. In 2005 the main agricultural products were rice, sugarcane, corn, beans, tomatoes, and citrus fruits. There were no crops with more than 500 hectares of planted area.

In 2003 there was 1 hospital with 11 beds and 4 walk-in health clinics. There were 9 doctors, 2 nurses, and 7 dentists in 2002. In 2000 the infant mortality rate was 25.56, well below the national average of 33.0.

In 2005 the school system had 6 schools, 41 classrooms, 86 teachers, and 1,994 students. There was 1 secondary school with 342 students. In 2000 the literacy rate was 86.5%, slightly above the national average of 86.4%.
