The song was released in four countries only. It was the third single in United States, Canada and Japan (July 1992), and the fourth and last single in Australia, issued on January 25, 1993.
"Nothing Broken but My Heart" was the second Céline's single written by Diane Warren. It was produced by Walter Afanasieff.
The music video was made for the edit version of the single, because the original track lasted almost six minutes. This video was released in August 1992 and features actors practicing the Romeo and Juliet play.
The song was remade by R&B artist, Tracie Spencer.

"Nothing Broken but My Heart" was the second Dion's single which reached #1 position on Billboard Adult Contemporary in U.S. The song peaked at #19 in Canada and #29 in the United States.
