As a Canadian, I'm surprised that I didn't really learn about Norman Bethune until I came to China. Communist or not, Bethune was a selfless man, who every Canadian should see as a model in their own life.

The article is tendentious and has a very un-encyclopedic air of Chinese Socialist Hero hagiography about it.
