The Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (Landsorganisasjonen i Norge or LO) is decidedly the largest and probably the most influential central organization of labour unions in Norway. The 24 national unions affiliated to the LO have more than 830,000 members of a Norwegian population of 4.5 million. The majority of affiliated unions organizes traditional blue collar workers, but the largest affiliate is the Norwegian Municipal Workers' Union. LO is affiliated to the ITUC.
