Northwood School is an independent coeducational boarding and day school located in Lake Placid, New York in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. Providing a setting for students to determine and to attain personal goals through a balance of rigorous academics, an awareness of the natural beauty of the Adirondack Mountains, and the unique athletic opportunities available in the region. Due to its small size, and through daily caring and purposeful - interaction, its students, faculty and staff are able to foster a strong sense of leadership, mutual respect, and community responsibility
