Northfield, Connecticut

Northfield is an unincorporated village in town of Litchfield, Litchfield County, Connecticut.
The village of Northfield resides in the southeastern corner of Litchfield Connecticut. Northfield shares an indefinate northern boundary with the rest of Litchfield proper, which is roughly co-terminus with the Northfield Fire District. On the east the village is bordered by the town of Harwinton Connecticut, on the south it is bordered by the town of Thomaston Connecticut, and on the West by the town of Morris Connecticut.
The village of Northfield has its own Postal Zip Code, 06778, but has no operating Post Office. Northfield is serviced by a Volunteer Fire Department, The Northfield Volunteer Fire Company, which was chartered in 1938, and resides on Main Street.
