North Star Academy

North Star Academy is a 3rd through 8th grade public GATE/Magnet school in Redwood City, San Mateo County , California, USA. As of 2006 it has 479 students enrolled. In April 2006 it was awarded "California Distinguished School" status. [1]
North Star Academy school hours are from 8:30 AM to 2:50 PM. In the 2004-2005 School Year the time was 8:30 AM to 2:55 PM. North Star shares a campus with the middle school McKinley Institute of Technology. North Star has a two story building with elevator, and a normal one story building. They have a computer lab, science lab, and share the auditorium of McKinley. North Star has an Enrichment program were students choose a class as their elective.
