North Jutland County (Danish: Nordjyllands Amt) is a county (Danish, amt) in northern Denmark. It is located on the eastern half of Vendsyssel-Thy and the northermost part of the Jutland peninsula. It is the largest county in Denmark, but has a relatively low population. The county seat is Aalborg, the fourth largest city of Denmark. On January 1, 2007, the county will be abolished and become part of Region Nordjylland (i.e. Region North Jutland).
