North Fork Bank

North Fork Bank is an American bank headquartered in Melville, New York. The bank serves the New York City metropolitan area with over 350 branches, as they have around $ 60 billion in assets.

On March 12, 2006, it was announced that the bank was to be sold to Capital One for $14.6 billion U.S. dollars. Upon the completion of the merger, the bank is to be renamed as "Capital One Bank".
