North Davidson Senior High School (commonly referred to as "North Davidson High", "NDHS", "North" or jokingly "The University of Welcome") is a public high school in Welcome, North Carolina (with a Lexington, NC address). It is located along Old US Highway 52 in the northern section of Davidson County. The high school serves the Welcome, Arcadia and Midway areas.

North Davidson is often ranked among the best high schools in the state in terms of academics. In 2002, for example, NDHS was ranked 28th out of the 393 public high schools in North Carolina. NDHS is the top ranked high school in Davidson County.
Feeder schools are Welcome Elementary (Welcome), Northwest Elementary (Arcadia), Friedberg Elementary (Arcadia), Midway Elementary (Midway) and North Davidson Middle (Welcome).

Athletics are an integral part of life for students at NDHS as well as the North Davidson community.
The school's mascot is the Black Knight, although girl athletes often use the term "Lady Knights". Enrollment is approximately 1,568 students[1].
NDHS is a member of the Central Piedmont 4-A Conference and NDHS's biggest rival is Ledford Senior High School in Wallburg.
The school's athletics logo is an interlocking "ND" in orange, black, and white colors. It is derived from the University of Notre Dame athletics logo. Other NDHS logos feature black knights riding upon horses or knights in armor.
The Athletics Director is Tanya Burcham.

The NDHS marching band is known as "The Marching Black Knights." The band performs at many events including festivals, parades, and the annual Festival of Bands.
The band consists of instrumental talent as well as color guard. Every year, two drum majors are selected to help lead the marching band.
Students and volunteers help to create the props for the "set" for the football program every year.
In addition to the marching band, there is an orchestra band which performs at concerts and competitions.
The band also participates in band camps every year.
The band director is Norian Fordham (Big man).
