Nortel Meridian is a private branch exchange. It provides advanced voice features, data connectivity, LAN communications, computer telephony integration (CTI), and information services for communication applications ranging from 60 to 80,000 lines.^[1] It was first introduced in 1976^[2] and was one of the industry's first fully digital PBXs. The smaller end was called the Meridian as well, but in the mid 1990s it was called Norstar to distinguish the 2 different models.
