Norman Matloff

Norman Saul Matloff PhD is a professor of computer science at the University of California, Davis. He received his Doctor of Philosophy degree in 1975 from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Matloff opposes increased immigration to fill computer science jobs in the United States and was featured in national American media on this topic. He especially views the use of H-1B visas in the high technology sector as an unnecessary practice that harms the prospects of American workers. Matloff has been interviewed in national media such as CNN and Salon.com. His opponents are industry leaders in software and related fields.
