Norman Irons
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dr Norman Irons was Lord Provost of Edinburgh, Scotland, between 1992 and 1996.
He was the first, and so far only, Lord Provost of the city from the Scottish National Party (SNP). Although Councillor Irons held the party's only seat in the City Council at the time, his vote was crucial to maintaining the administration of the ruling Labour Party, who then became his majority backers for the post of Lord Provost.
He currently serves as the consul for Denmark in Edinburgh.
