Norman D. Newell

Norman D. Newell (January 27, 1909 – April 18, 2005) was a curator at the American Museum of Natural History and a professor at Columbia University.
Newell was a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the American Philosophical Society. He was the author of numerous scientific papers as well as several books including, On Creation and Evolution: Myth or Reality? (Columbia University Press, 1982). His numerous awards for scientific achievements included accolades from the National Academy of Sciences, Yale University, and the American Museum of Natural History.
