Nordic skiing

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nordic skiing is a winter sport that encompases all types of skiing where the heel of the boot cannot be fixed to the ski. This includes a wide range of ski equipment and techniques such as classic and skate cross country skiing, ski jumping and telemark skiing.

Nordic skiing Olympic events are Cross country skiing, Ski jumping, and Nordic combined. The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships is a major event of these sports and happens in winter of odd-number years between Winter Olympics.
