Category talk:North Carolina writers

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

What does "North Carolina writers" mean? From what I can tell, it either means:

  1. This writer writes about North Carolina
  2. This writer's writings are influenced by North Carolina
  3. This writer is from North Carolina (but doesn't necessarily still live there)
  4. This writer lives in North Carolina

For example, right now, Orson Scott Card is in this category, but only meets the last criteria. He moved there as an adult, but didn't grow up there (he grew up in the West). Does he belong? None of his books are about NC (though at least one is set there). Can we clarify what this category is for? — Frecklefoot | Talk 20:04, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
