Nopaltepec, México

Nopaltepec is a municipality in México State, Mexico, bordered by the state of Hidalgo and by Axapusco.

According to legend, it was founded during the second Aztec Empire by Chimalpopoca, god of the xxxx, during the reign of Netzahualcóyotl.

Nopaltepec is 250 km to the west of state capital Toluca. Its population in 1995 was 5,997.
